[RECIPE IN THIS DESCRIPTION] Fried Ranch Cabbage.

This simple but tasty side dish could be your replacement for traditional ranch potatoes. It is a little bit higher carb than usual side dishes on this channel but itโ€™s worth it. If you want it even MORE like ranch sauce (rather than seasoning), add some sour cream!

INGREDIENTS:
– 1 Medium Cabbage Head, shredded (approx 600 grams)
– 1 Large White Onion, diced
– 2 tbsp Oil (Avocado, Olive or Coconut)
– 1 tbsp Salted Butter
– 2-3 tbsp Dry Ranch Dressing – You can buy it commercially OR make your own:

You can make 8 tbsp worth of Dry Ranch Dressing by combining ยผ cup Dried Parsley, 1 tsp Dried Dill, 2 tsp Garlic Powder, 1 tsp Onion Granules, 1 tbsp Dried Chives, 1 tsp Mustard Powder, 1 tsp Black Pepper and mixing until well combined. Store in a jar.


METHOD:
1. In a large saucepan, over low-medium heat, add the oil and butter. Allow the butter to melt before adding the sliced onion. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onion begins to caramelise (approx 15 minutes).
2. Then add the cabbage and cook, stirring often, until the cabbage is tender (approx 7-10 minutes).
3. Add the ranch seasoning to the cabbage and mix in well. Serve and enjoy!
